Rehabilitation Therapy can improve your pet’s quality of life. For many years we have used physical therapy principles, devices and techniques that help us lead a healthy, normal life. With our Rehab Therapy for canines, you can now help your pet receive the same care and return them to a healthier, more functional life. Using our State Of The Art Equipment you can feel confident your pet is receiving the best quality of care. Our goal is to compliment the natural healing process. We will specifically design a therapeutic workout based on your pet’s needs and your Veterinarian’s recommendations.
We provide both in-office extended care or pet day care for the rehabilitation of your pet. For in-office care, we offer oversized private condos with orthopedic beds. Our in-office patients receive around-the-clock care and daily rehabilitation therapy sessions giving them the best chance for recovery. We also offer pet day care for daily rehabilitation sessions. You can drop your pet off in the morning and we will provide a safe and calm environment until you pick up your pet later in the day.
With our state of the art Ferno® Underwater Treadmill, your pet will be able to walk with minimal impact using the natural properties of water; buoyancy, resistance and heat. This allows dogs to begin rehabilitation earlier than normal since they are in a modified weight environment. This workout will help your pet increase muscle strength and endurance.
Our Massage Therapy will not only relax and comfort your pet, it will also provide healing aspects. The benefits include improved sensory function, improved circulation and will also help joint range of motion. Massage Therapy will also aid in reducing pain.
Low Level Laser Therapy aids in the reduction of scar tissue which reduces pain. It stimulates production of healthy tissue which helps wounds heal faster. It also aids in the reduction of pain associated with arthritis.
By using gentle electrical currents we can increase your pet’s muscle contractions. This will help increase joint motion, strengthen muscle tissue, help relieve spasms, and improve tone and muscular control. This therapy can also block transmission of pain impulses to the brain by desensitizing the nerves.
Ultrasound Therapy will benefit your pet by stimulating their body’s healing activity. It also warms tissues and facilitates fluid movement to nourish cells and remove cellular waste.
Using equipment such as balance balls, stairs and obstacles your pet will gain flexibility, strength and endurance. After a thorough evaluation at the initial visit, a therapeutic exercise regimen will be specifically designed for each individual pet’s needs.
